For the realization of its machines for serialization, printing and control of variable data on pharmaceutical packaging, as well as the system for the application of anti-tampering seals, Siropack Italia relies on the iQ Platform by Mitsubishi Electric.

Research and innovation. This is the formula which led Siropack Italia to play a leading role, internationally, in the field of packaging and tray preparation. The Romagna-based company, founded in 2001, is able to meet customers’ needs thanks to a specialized team offering simple and innovative solutions. From the very beginning it has focused on the quality and sustainability of its products: machines and software aimed at the food and agricultural and pharmaceutical sectors. Its machines for serialization, printing and control of variable data on pharmaceutical cases (Track & Trace), together with the system for the application of the Tamper Evident seal on both the opening flaps of the package, integrate Mitsubishi Electric’s iQ Platform, providing the end user with maximum reliability and high performances. Mitsubishi Electric’s Motion Control, integrated in the iQ Platform, is the technological intelligence which controls the MR-J4 servo family. The connection between servo and Motion uses fiber optics through the SSCNET III/H Motion bus which guarantees high communication speed, extreme precision and total immunity to electrical interference. The servo motors, all with IP65 / IP67 protection, implement the latest construction technologies and integrate as standard an absolute 22-bit Encoder (over 4 million pulses/revolution).

A mukti-tasking machine which produces 350 packs per minute

The simplicity of the interface between Mitsubishi Electric solutions and the ‘PC world’ has contributed to the realization of the SBT (Serializer + Stamping + Tamper Evident S60) machine with complete control of all installed devices, including inkjet marker, labeller and vision systems, through a single software interface: the SiroMarKontrol. The SBT S60 machine, 1,400 mm long, carries out numerous operations: packaging printing with serialization on 3 sides; OCR/ OCV control of all printed data; labelling / stamping on the top side; presence and position control of the label applied by means of a vision system; application of Tamper Evident labels and related control; discarding. Thanks to the integration of Mitsubishi Electric’s iQ Platform, all processing steps may be carried out at a maximum speed of 350 items per minute. The machine adapts to any line, as it has no fixed side. It is also designed to be integrated with Siropack’s aggregator and line controller (level 3) for serialization. The high know-how of the two companies offers, therefore, maximum guarantee of quality and competence.
