F&C Solutions’ core business is the supply of mechatronics solutions, that are often implemented with the help of several suppliers.
Fabio Notarnicola and Claudio Ferè, the company’s co-founders with over thirty years of experience in the field, explain: “Knowing that about 70% of micromotor users also need precision mechanical components such as pinions, reducers, worm screws, and so on, we decided to respond to this type of need by combining the technological know-how of two leading companies in the manufacture of coreless micromotors (produced in China and Japan) with the precision mechanics know-how by MICROingranaggi, a highly specialized company in the field of miniature components”.
And this is how the collaboration between the two companies began. Today F&C Solutions can offer high quality solutions that are flexible enough to be modified or integrated according to specific application needs.

All-round consultancy, including custom solutions

F&C Solutions deals not only with simple acquisition and resale, but operates as a consultancy company, able to offer the customer technical expertise, identifying – in the wide spectrum of electric motors produced by the companies represented – what is the most suitable product for each specific application (often allowing the customer to save money). If necessary, it also deals with the design and development of the customizations requested by the customer. “In case of customized solutions – Fabio Notarnicola and Claudio Ferè explain – everything related to the electrical field (ie wiring, control systems, and so on) is developed internally by F&C Solutions, just because this is their specialisation.
Instead, everything related to the mechanical field is designed and developed by MICROingranaggi. The partnership between the two companies has been going on for several years now”. Fabio Notarnicola mentions a case study: “Some time ago a customer specialised in the production of handpieces for the skin treatment addressed to F&C Solutions for the purchase of a gearmotor featuring extremely compact dimensions, high silence, a high tolerance torque and, of course, low cost. F&C Solutions thus identified the most suitable motor for that type of application and involved MICROingranaggi for the development of the planetary gearbox. Another customer operating in the avionics sector asked F&C for the supply of an actuator (motor + reducer + worm screw) whose application had rather particular characteristics. In fact, this product would have been subjected to very significant shocks and vibrations. And so, also in that case, F&C turned to us, who took care of designing and developing the complete solution (effectively leaving F&C the only task of identifying the most suitable engine)”.

There are several reasons why F&C Solutions chose to be supported by MICROingranaggi. “First of all, it is not just a simple mechanical workshop – Notarnicola and Ferè explain – but a facility equipped with high-level machinery and technology, as well as a metrology room equipped with the latest generation of instruments, where highly qualified professionals work and are constantly updated”.
