Forum Telecontrollo: the challenge of transformation

Innovation and change are a winning combination, especially now that companies can take advantage of the benefits of digitization thanks to technologies 4.0.
However, development and transformation paths cannot be separated from the theme of environmental sustainability. Making industrial production, the consumption of goods and the transport of people and goods sustainable are challenges that need to be addressed in order to find useful indications for the present and future of our country. The 2019 edition of the Forum Telecontrollo – Networks of public utility, dedicated to “Digital transformation: business models and skills”, is a natural forum for discussion on these issues with the aim of laying the foundations of change, addressing the issue of business models and skills, both necessary to take full advantage of the opportunities and benefits of digital transformation. Innovation and change that are articulated not only in the themes of the Forum but also in the format of the event that, to respond to new market needs and in order to optimize the participation of operators in the sector, will be articulated this year in a single day. The exhibition-conference will take place, in fact, on 23 October in the historic location of Fortezza da Basso in Florence and will offer a conference program dedicated to the technologies of remote control of public utility networks. The event, promoted by WG Network Supervision and Automation of ANIE Automazione and organized by Messe Frankfurt Italia, will be divided into parallel conferences sessions with quality contributions that will directly involve the protagonists of industry, services, users, schools and institutions. The Forum, now in its sixteenth edition, has become over the years the reference event for the entire sector thanks to the high technical level of the memories presented. Also in this edition the focus will be on the presentation of memories and practical cases by the most important providers of remote control technologies and dedicated to current issues and interest such as network efficiency, sustainable mobility and smart cities, but also cloud, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, 5G and communication protocols, computer security. The objective is to help companies and utilities, also through the organization of these meetings, to understand how to best exploit the technologies available on the market to start or continue the process of digitization that today is absolutely necessary to maintain and develop the competitiveness of the service and make sustainable resources. At the same time, a large exhibition space will allow a direct comparison with the main operators, to view solutions and meet experts in technologies and applications.
As always, the best memories presented will be awarded with the “ANIE Automazione Award”.
