Inauguration of the new Milan HQ

Rockwell Automation inaugurated their new Milan HQ last June, inviting journalists to a press conference at the event in via Ludovico di Breme.
Following a welcome from Fabrizio Scovenna, Country Sales Director, Italian Region, further presentations were made by Herald Mag, Regional Vice President, South Region EMEA, speaking about Rockwell Automation Italy strategic value, Thomas Donato, President EMEA Region and finally, Ninveh Neuman, Vice President Global Commercial Marketing. Thomas Donato looked into vision and strategy, focusing on investment by the multinational in the EMEA region and, of direct interest to those present, gave details concerning the new Milan HQ: 1 million Euro has been invested in the 3.900 m2 building, in operation since February this year, housing sales, marketing, technical support, customer service and plenty more besides. A fully justified outlay given the importance of market share in Italy allied with the number of OEM producers in the country. Speaking of strategy, Donato focused on the Internet of Things (84% of executives believe this will change business models) and Smart Manufacturing, supplying data that “quantifies” the transition in progress toward Industry 4.0 in terms of increase in gross ROCE (Return on Capital Employed); potential capital and profit growth as well as possible gains in job creation or reallocation. Data which highlights the fact that Smart Manufacturing is now an imperative for all companies. Further discussions on strategy followed, with Ninveh Neuman explaining the purchase of PTC justifying this move with the great growth in expertise and know-how this company brings with it. Finally, Fabrizio Scovenna took the journalists on a complete tour of the new location finishing up with a look at the showroom, designated to become a real Competence Center in the very near future.
